Live life to the fullest, embrace the ones you love...

Our dad was a kind and giving person. He was always willing to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. A frequent blood donor, he always knew that the gift of life was a special gift. That’s why it was only fitting that when we were contacted by Donate Life Arizona, we knew that in death, as well as in life, our dad had chosen to give to someone who would be able to benefit from his generosity.

Our adored and cherished father, Eddy, entered into eternal peace in September 2014. He was the most wonderful and loving father to his two daughters, Alisa and Dana, a father-in-law to his sons-in-law, Geoffrey and Anthony, and a beloved brother to his two sisters, Melody and Cindy. As well as being a son, father and a brother, he was an uncle and great friend to many.

Our dad always greeted you with a smile. He loved to fly fish, hunt in the White Mountains, cook for his family, go to University of Arizona football and basketball games and especially ride his Honda motorcycle across town and throughout Arizona. Known for his famous salsa, he was always willing to make it for a party or a get-together. He was quick witted and very funny. He loved to laugh and had the best sense of humor.

Knowing that a part of him continues to live on is such an amazing feeling. His death wasn’t the end and he remains living through his thoughtful donation, and we will always have a special space for him in our hearts.

One of his favorite quotes was: “Live life to the fullest, embrace the ones you love.” We know that our dad truly did live life to its fullest and he continuously embraced his family with his love. His donation is just another example of how he embraced others with love, with his gift of life.
