You will forever live in our hearts...

Jo Anne had the most beautiful soul and heart of anyone I have ever met. She was the love of my life and my best friend. She bravely fought her cancer for two and a half years with courage, strength and dignity.

Jo Anne was the most giving and selfless person during life and even after she passed. Her selflessness was evident throughout her life; she always placed others ahead of herself. When she passed, her selflessness continued when she donated her body to science so they may study her rare type of cancer to discover a lifesaving treatment or cure to help others diagnosed with this rare cancer. In addition, her corneas were donated to provide sight for two people. In this way she lives on, not only in the hearts of those who love her, but also in the eyes of two people she gave the gift of sight to, and also in the hope of an eventual treatment or cure to her cancer.

Jo Anne, you are loved by many, and it was an honor for all of us who shared in your life’s journey. You were a beautiful and needed light on this world, and while we had all hoped to have more time with you, we will always cherish and treasure the time we did have. You will forever live in our hearts.
