He loved life and lived it to the fullest...

Our son Brett came into our lives on May 20, 1986, being the only brother to his three sisters. He was adored and loved by all of us. In late November 2016, he became our angel and true hero. Brett loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was an avid dirt bike rider, snowboarder, water skier, musician and amazing uncle to his four nephews. He enjoyed his job in the HVAC industry, as well as being an electrician. Brett took pride in his accomplishments and truly enjoyed helping anyone, whether it was his parents, sisters or friends. He loved all animals; in fact he tried to take a severely injured dog to the emergency room because the veterinary hospital was closed. This is the type of caring person he was.

Through his donation of both kidneys, his heart, liver, small intestines, corneas, not to mention tissue donation, he will be helping numerous people. Although our hearts are broken and we will never understand our loss, knowing that Brett has already saved and will continue to save so many lives gives us strength while we grieve. Brett’s legacy will continue to live on by all of the people he has inspired to become organ donors.

    Brett showed me the true meaning of unconditional love and I can never thank him enough for that. He truly was a selfless person, almost to fault. He was the strongest person I ever knew. I promised you I would be strong just like you showed me how to be. I think about you everyday and hope to do nothing but make you proud. I love you Brett Michael.
