Michael Lee Burns was born on Feb. 5, 2000, to Michael Lenard Burns and Toronji Lee Carter. Michael was a very happy baby, so smart and handsome. Michael is very attached to his mom. So attached that he refused to let me know he was walking – he wanted me to carry him all the time. The only way that I knew he had learned to walk is that my brother videoed him. He has always been a “Mama’s boy” making sure that I am cared for. He helps with chores, bills, whatever I asked, well almost – he didn’t like doing dishes haha. He is kind, caring ,very compassionate, hilarious, handsome, a 10 out of 10, intelligent and fiercely protective of his family. He is my best friend, he was my best friend. I love him so much. I miss him so much. A big part of my heart and soul are missing. Michael has a huge personality that you actually see. You could see him walking down the street with a big smile on his face and you just knew he was about to make you laugh or he just improved your day. He was the best big brother to his younger sister Gianna, or as he called her, G baby, Elijah or E baby, Prince or P baby. They are missing their older brother daily. Gone way too soon.

    This morning I woke up and because Papa had called me last night. I remembered it was our day, so when I woke up, I remember the reason that I became a mom. You. I miss my baby boy so much!
