Ruby C. Duey, Registered Donor

The gift of life is so special...

I have always been a registered donor believing that after death you can still do good in someone else’s life. After my son Sky C. Duey passed away in May 2013, (as a registered donor) my belief for donation was strengthened knowing how much he has done for others. I am so very proud of him. In July 2019, my best friend was also taken from us and he was not a registered donor. I was with the family at the time of the tragedy and I was very much there to help them with the decision to make him a donor through my previous experience. It was very tough, but we made it through the process and my friend has now been able to donate all of his precious organs, again proving that the gift of life is so special.
