It would make him proud that he saved lives...
Shane was quite the creative artist. He loved to write poetry and songs. Music was so important to him, from rap to country to classical – he loved it all. He was a highly intelligent man. A thinker who loved a challenge. He was also a deeply feeling man. He cared about people. Shane’s biggest love was for his daughter. He was a great father. Shane loved playing and being silly with her. She was the center of his world.
As a couple we spent quite a lot of time together, starting almost every day playing chess and drinking coffee. He was funny and carefree, but could also be vulnerable and compassionate. He had the best smile and an ever better laugh. While Shane had his struggles in his life he had dreams and goals, most of which revolved around helping people. It would make him proud that he saved lives. He was a father, son, brother and uncle…but he was also a wonderful partner in life. He is missed every second of every day.
