I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat...

When my baby sister was in her senior year of high school she was diagnosed with kidney failure. After finding herself always tired and run down she went to the doctor where they did a urine sample that day. It came to a huge shock to us all. A week later she saw the nephrologist and was told she had only 25% kidney function and would need a transplant very soon. I knew right then why God created us with 2 kidneys and I contacted the transplant center at Mayo. Just 9 months after my sister was diagnosed we were in the operating room. The morning of surgery she was down to 3% kidney function. Thankfully she has not ever had to go on dialysis and her new kidney is functioning wonderfully for her. I’d do it all over again in a heartbeat.
