Jimmy may have got a kidney, but I got a new friend...

I donated a kidney to Jimmy in February 2013. He was a stranger to me until he went to my husband’s car dealership looking for a new car. Jimmy told my husband that he had been on dialysis for the last 2 years. My husband knew that I have been interested in donation. He called me to tell me about Jimmy. I called the University of Arizona Medical Center and filled out my medical questionaire in October 2012. I was a match. It’s been 5 weeks since donating and I would do it again in a second. Jimmy may have got a kidney, but I got a new friend. What a wonderful experience.
