He had a beautiful sense of humor...

My family and I were pleased to hear that several individuals were a match with my son Jerry. It was his choice to be an organ donor and we simply did as he directed.

If it helps you to know the kind of person he was I am happy to tell you he was a kind, generous, loving and helpful person. He treated his customers, co-workers and neighbors with generosity and respect. He had a beautiful sense of humor and loved sports (especially the Steelers). He recently became addicted to coin collecting and delving into historical information on his family members who were in the military. He was always willing to help any person who needed a hand in any task, from how to use their cell phone to connecting their televisions or moving furniture. His final act was replacing the skylight on my roof.

My family and I wish you continued good health and happiness.

    Jerry was a friend of mine I met at work, he died of a freak accident. I will miss him dearly and hope someone will feel the same about me. He was a great guy, a funny guy a well natured person. I met his mother and brother both from Colorado and beautiful people. Jerry had just got married, I pray for his new wife and family and have his picture on my computer desk to see every day. Miss you Jerry if there is anything you're family needs I am here for them. God Bless you brother.

    Remembering all of the times we spent together. Eating way too fast, pig hunting in Texas, and the day I got to hold your newborn son. I miss you more than you can imagine brother. I can't wait to see you again. Love you Jer...

    The way I knew Jerry , All though his life he was a very soft spoken and giving person , I always loved visiting with him ,I used to get tires from him all the time when I worked in Denver He was a great sales man .Always fixed me up with a good deal . And I went though Glenwood springs one time when he had a shop there I was having truck problems he helped me get my truck fixed . I was low on money and he was very kind and got me a motel room from a friend of his . He always wanted to help people I love him for that . Wish I could have spent more time around him . He was a good man and will be missed . It doesn't surprise my that he would give the gift of life to others in need of organs . It was such a surprise to find out what happened to him that I was in disbelief . We all love you and we well miss you RIP YOUR UNCLE RANDY

      Randy your words are beautiful and so very true. Jerry was always the most gracious host you could ask for. He would always do whatever he could to help anyone. But would never allow anyone to take advantage of him (with one exception). Thank you for your contribution.

    As Jerry's Aunt, I had the pleasure of knowing him his entire life. Jer would put his life and needs on hold to try to make everyone else happy. He just wanted to keep everyone happy... a simple man, with few needs. But a huge heart. He is missed terribly but would be pleased to know he was able to continue to give of himself in death. I have no doubt that he is watching over those he loved.
